Surfrider Foundation:
Fund the removal of 90,000 lbs of plastic from the ocean.
About: The Surfrider Foundation's mission is to reduce plastic pollution, protect oceans, ensure fair beach access, support coastal preservation, and protect clean water. They have more than 80 chapters across the US that have been participating in plastic waste clean up for over 10 years.
Women’s Earth Alliance:
Fund and train 50 women to grow and maintain 3000 trees, sequestering 144,000 lbs of CO2 per year.
About: The Women’s Earth Alliance identifies grassroots women leaders working on the frontlines to reverse climate change and protect their communities' natural resources, livelihoods, and health, and invests in their long-term leadership through training, funding, and networks of support. Since 2006, WEA has provided leadership, strategy, and technical training to over 25,000 women leaders across 24 countries.
Step Up:
Fund 45 days of outreach to unhoused people on the street, enrolling them into free rehabilitative services.
About: Step Up delivers compassionate support to people in California and the Southeast US experiencing serious mental health issues, as well as people who are experiencing chronic homelessness, to help them recover, stabilize, and integrate into the community. In order to connect people to the help they need, they offer permanent supportive housing, rich wraparound supports, and workforce development.
LA Food Bank:
Fund 36,000 meals for school aged children and food insecure families in need in Los Angeles.
About: The LA Regional Food Bank works to ensure that children who rely on school meals have access to healthy food over the weekends. They distribute backpacks with six nutritious meals to students on free lunch programs in LA school districts. In 2021, the BackPack Program distributed over 7,700 backpacks containing over 168,000 pounds of food to 850 children at 10 school partners.
